Soul Of Purity And Light

soul of purity and light

“Blessed are those who are pure in heart for they shall see God.” (Matthew 5:8)

Coming Clean

Be really true, really real, a soul of purity and light. This is how you’ll see God at work in your business and your life…

We came across this video a while back. It illustrates the culture of advertising in today’s business world, which is shaped from the values and expectations of our society.

False Advertising & Fake News

Advertising often has ulterior motives. By carefully constructed deception, advertisers almost always portray a product in terms that are not only flattering, but unrealistic.

In short, our culture as reflected in advertising is a culture of lies and a culture of bondage to unrealistic expectations. This has seeped into other media as well. Hollywood, politics and even the workplace.

How Much Different Are We?

Much of our energy can be siphoned off carefully projecting a facade we want others to see. We try to control our image by wearing masks, playing games, and hiding the truth about ourselves.

Church gatherings can unknowingly foster the need to project ourselves to each other on Sundays, that is not true to our reality Monday through Saturday.

We carry guilt and shame that keep us from becoming all God made us to be. It destroys our confidence, damages our relationships, and hinders our forward motion.

What can you do to counter the effects of our culture? Go counter-culture. Let honesty become a pillar in your life and business.

Pure Motives Of A Soul Of Purity And Light

If you’re going to learn how to really walk in abundance and freedom, then you’ve got to learn how to let go of guilt. It starts with being honest with yourself and accepting responsibility for your faults.

God forgives you… and frees you.

If you want to be wise in business and the salt of the earth, be consistent between who you appear to be and who you really are. Manipulating others by distorting reality is not a healthy strategy to promote business or the Gospel message.

Model your business and advertising by the saying, “What you see is what you get (WYSIWYG)”. Promise less and deliver more. People will take notice and become loyal customers for the long haul as you distinguish yourself from your competitors.
