Be Merciful

be merciful

“The merciful man does good for his own soul, but he who is cruel troubles his own flesh.” (Proverbs 11:17)

Be Merciful To That P.I.A.

We had a customer who could be a real pain in the rear. Not too many folks liked being around him. He was arrogant, selfish, inconsiderate, and sickly sweet to get what he wanted.

If he got what he deserved it would be more like, “Try down the street. I can’t help you.”

Mercy is grace towards others that results in acts of kindness and forbearance in direct opposition to what they actually deserve.

Be merciful. It’s the 5th pillar of Wisdom’s House.

Sow Mercy, Reap Mercy

Being merciful to those who you would like to see go away so they don’t take up your time and energy is wise. Why? Because we all need mercy.

Entrepreneurs learn this.

“Mercy is not
getting what
you deserve!”

As you express mercy to others, especially the least among you, God is merciful to you through others. It could be a supplier, a banker, or a judge.

You would not want to rely on your own merit and get what you truly deserve would you?

Mercy is not getting what you deserve! In the business world there are plenty of mistakes made. Wouldn’t you like to know that mercy will be extended to cover you when you need it? Remember to be merciful to others when they need it.

“The quality of mercy is not strained. It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven Upon the place beneath. It is twice blest: It blesseth him that gives and him that takes.” ~William Shakespeare from The Merchant of Venice.
