Abundant Life is a Totally Unique Life
Abundant life is being fully engaged in life. Being fully engaged means being:
- Physically Energized (Body)
- Emotionally Connected (Soul)
- Mentally Focused (Soul)
- Spiritually Aligned (Spirit)
Skiing is an activity that engages our whole being… body, soul and spirit.
The physical exertion engages our bodies. The mental and emotional exhilaration captivates our soul, and the mountain environment connects us to our Creator.
It’s one thing we do to stay fully engaged in our totally unique life.
Building a business (or career) has to be more than just about money. We all need income, but we also need purpose.
We need to live a totally unique life with a purpose beyond ourself… something bigger than ordinary, like a 14,000 foot mountain!
How can a business connect you to your purpose?
Life is Work
One way is by seeing your work as your ministry.
“My father is always at his work to this very day, and I too, am working…” (John 5:17).
Jesus came to live in you and through you and He demonstrated what this looks like in His totally unique life on earth.
Consider that in the New Testament:
- Of Jesus’ 132 public appearances, 122 were in the marketplace.
- Of 52 parables Jesus told, 45 had a workplace context.
- Of 40 miracles in the book of Acts, 39 were in the marketplace.
Work is Sacred
Your business is your connection to people. You are their connection to Jesus. Never think of your daily work as anything less than a holy calling, because it is.
